Product details
Hot dip galvanised Z posts for Armco-style corrugated crash barrier in a 1.2m dig in or 560mm and 760mm bolt down. 100mm x 50mm section, powder coated to order.
The Z post is the lighter of our two crash barrier post profiles, sized for car parks, yards and internal runs where the barrier is there to stop low speed knocks rather than take a serious impact. Where the run protects plant, racking or a structural line, step up to the H post.
Key features
- 100mm x 50mm section — enough post for car park and warehouse duty without the cost and dig of a heavier profile.
- Dig in or bolt down — 1.2m overall for concreting in, or 560mm and 760mm base plated versions for fixing down to an existing slab.
- Hot dip galvanised as standard, so the buried or bolted end is protected where it matters most.
- Powder coating available in over 620 colours at extra cost, if the barrier has to match site or brand colours.
- Takes our full barrier range — same bolts and beam fixings as the rest of the system.
Dig in or bolt down?
Dig in is the stronger fixing and the usual choice on open ground: the 1.2m post is concreted in, leaving the working height above ground. Bolt down suits an existing concrete slab you would rather not break out, and is the practical option in car parks and warehouse floors — but the fixing is only ever as good as the slab it lands on, so check the slab depth and condition before choosing it.
Where they are used
Car parks, loading bays, warehouse and factory floors, depot compounds, industrial estates and access roads — anywhere corrugated off road barrier keeps vehicles off people, buildings, racking or plant.
What else you will need
Posts are a component, not a kit. A complete run also takes crash barrier beams (3504mm overall, 3200mm effective when overlapped), corners where the run turns, a fish tail end or pedestrian end to close it off, plus post bolts and lap bolts. See the full crash barrier range.

Common questions
How many posts do I need? One per beam joint plus one to finish, so a run of beams needs one more post than beams. Each beam covers 3.2m effective, so a 32m run is 10 beams and 11 posts.
Z post or H post? Z is the lighter section for car park and warehouse duty. Choose the H post where the barrier protects structure, racking or plant, or where vehicles are heavier.
