Bow top railing

Railings whose vertical bars curve over into a rounded loop at the top. The bow removes the sharp point, which is why it suits parks, schools and housing.

Also called: bow top railings, bow top fencing, bow top

Bow top railing is steel railing where each vertical bar curves over into a loop at the top instead of finishing square or pointed. The loop leaves nothing to catch a hand, a sleeve or a climbing foot on, which is why it's the usual choice for parks, schools and housing boundaries.
